Job Mission:

  • As a Facilities Engineer, you will help to ensure that our boutique, office premises and amenities are functioning well and meticulously maintained.  You will coordinate and execute matters related to facilities management (esp. on engineering and technical aspects) for our boutique & office premises, providing superior customer service to all employees, vendors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert (engineering) and the key project team member for new offices or boutique renovation projects.  Provide technical advice on design that may affect maintenance accessibility and future operation.
  • Act as the engineering lead in Macau and provide technical guidance & support to Retail Stores Operation team and Office Workplace team. Share experience and provide on the job coaching to the teams.
  • Assist in various in-house functions and activities including technical equipment / facilities preparation.
  • To drive and implement facilities & maintenance plans, including the set up and execution of Preventive and Planned Maintenance Program, which may include in-person assistance after hours or on weekends.
  • Coordinate and communicate with external vendors for all preventative and ad-hoc maintenance, responding to issues that arise.
  • Monitor the progress/quality of works performed by vendors and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain a maintenance tracker for all equipment warranty and repair information to allow efficient status tracking.
  • Ensure Occupational Health & Safety rules are properly followed at all times, covering both internal users and external contractors/vendors.
  • Ensure all Information Technology systems, audio/video (AV) facilities are working properly.  Identify and report any technical issues to other teams, e.g., Technology and Digital Services department, including video conferencing, in-room systems, along with audio conferencing systems.
  • Assist in handling procurement and stock control of Electrical and Mechanical supplies and follow up on delivery arrangement.
  • Responsible for driving improvement in workflow process, operation efficiency, service delivery and project management.
  • Main liaison with landlords, hotel operation teams and government authorities.
  • Attend and report ad-hoc or emergency situation to ensure offices and boutiques’ operations and facilities are safe and intact.
  • Provide administrative support and ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Role Specifications: 

  • Diploma holder or above in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer or other professional qualification, Member of relevant technical institutes (e.g., CIBSE, CIOB, etc.) or equivalent will be a bonus.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in property or facilities management (Hard services and engineering).
  • Hands on experience on electrical and mechanical system design and maintenance.
  • Experience on working in hotel complex or resort in Macau will be preferred.
  • Previous experience in an international environment will be an advantage.
  • Experience handling Information Technology or Audio/Video (AV) issues will be an advantage.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Cantonese are essential.
  • Ability to describe detailed problems with brevity and accuracy.
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Has a team-oriented approach but is able to work autonomously.
  • Well organized, detail oriented, responsible, and proactive.
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently and communicate effectively with various parties.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
  • Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrates honesty/integrity.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Good knowledge on Technology, Audio/Video (AV) equipment generally used in an office environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as the business requires.
